Hey there! would you mind also sharing some details about the surroundings? I know that Pogonomyrmex Barbatus are currently performing their flights, but without a better quality picture its hard to say what your queen is! Awesome that you had some luck this year!

@JackieB Hey there! The 2 species of Honeypot ants we have here in Colorado is Myrmecocystus mexicanus, and Prenolepis imparis. Unfortunately P. imparis have already had they're nuptial flights in march and early April, this is why we call them the "winter ants", because they have they're flights so...
