Lasius niger Nesting Conditions

Yes Hello!
I just have a quick question,
I have a Collony of L. niger that I will soon move to a home made AAC nest, and I wondered if L. niger usually prefer more drier or humid nests?

Thank You for Your time!

Does anyone have any previous knowledge or tips on finding and caring for "acorn ants"? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
I'm Sorry! Never heard of them!
