Hi, my friend and I are into ant keeping. Last day he caught 8 queens (I think its carpenter ants) and only has 2 test tubes. One is curently occupying on test tube so he put one carpenter ant in the one last test tube. Now he has 7 queens in a contaner (for now). But can they for a supper colony? T...

Need information of this speacise

I need some info of black carpenter ant (Camponotus pennsylvanicus). Can you give me the moisting percent for the nest, what they eat(I think it is insect but im no o sure if it is only insect) What is their habitable nesting place like is it wood? sand? rocks, etc.. I need help with this queen ID and fast!

I caught her on a tree. It was the only tree there, other trees were far away. She is small, and I say just under 1cm. Tell me to upload more photos if you need some. Hey guys I emailed AntsCanada to identify my queen I caught in quebec for a school field trip. I caught her on a tree. It was the only tree there, other trees were far away.
