Re: Is propolis powder good for an ant barrier?
Propolis powder is probably not bad for your ants, though it may not work well as a barrier. Is the powder sticky? I know that normal propolis is sticky, so if this is you shouldn't use it. I wouldn't try it, since it would probably result in a relatively thick baby powder barrier. I would actually suggest using pure baby powder applied with a dry cottonball, so the barrier is thinner and thus more slippery. But to answer your question, yes, and vodka would probably work a bit better t...

Re: Caring for a Queen

Re: Id please
the other 2 look to be C. lienolata. but i would need better pictures to confirm it The second kind of ant is not Crematogaster lineolata , and in fact, is not Crematogaster at all. The distinctive features of the genus Crematogaster are: (1) a gaster that starts roughly square and terminates to a ...

Re: Are ants intelligent?
For other things, I would put them at around the average mammal. Ants can teach eachother new skills, remember things, pass on their memories (in the form of teaching), and communicate effectively. While those all sound fairly advanced for the average mammal, the average mammal doesn't have any use ...
