Thank you all. You have given me a good start. I'll try to get better photos next to a coin. (I was trying to avoid disturbing her as much as possible though.)

My 8YO son has developed an intense interest in ants. We have a test tube setup and some eggs. However, I need help identifying the queen. I appreciate any suggestions you can make.
