Thanks for the info! Very interesting. Since this post, two more males and one female have emerged. I did find this queen under interesting circumstances. She was actively being attacked by two other ants.

I have Crematogaster in a test tube. The 5th nanitic developed into a winged ant. As it emerged from the pupal form, it was immediately attacked and killed by the colony. This queen was found on May 20th in Southeast Ohio. She is 11mm long.
