Ya the pics of the first one aren't very good she's so small and wouldn't stay still. The small colony could be Temnothorax curvispinosus but I am thinking she's not because I can't see any spines on her back an the workers are slightly larger and a little different color. The first 3 pics are new queens I caught yesterday in central Arkansas I think I've identified them as (Temnothorax longispinosus) but there's a good chance I'm wrong as I'm still very new to this. Looks like yesterday's rain in central Arkansas was great for nuptial flights I found 3 species of ant in the swimming pool were I work 2 I have had I'd already but the third one is new (I'd appreciate a ID) I found a few but only 1 was alive thanks again for all the help The dead ones hold still be...

Hmm antwiki shows them to have spines (and that they are from the atta. Family) and they are also the only leaf cutters I've been able to find that live in Arkansas I'll have to do some more research and see what I can find and how to take care of her this looks like it could be a amazing species to...
