Yes I have killed some camponotus queens already. Slapped them in the dark. My auto reaction to something moving in the dark. Can never find them during the day or when I want to

I'm still looking for queens, anybody know if any nuptial flights happening in central Florida?
Also it's been raining for 10 days probably 5 more days. When to expect the next flights????? Any ideas?

Very new to ant keeping. I have been watching ants closely for about 2 months. Caught this one, very unfamiliar with it, first time seeing this large. Was caught Jan 27,2018 weather was cool-warm about 2pm est. On palm tree. Approx 10mm could not measure due to not wanting to stress her out. I think...
