As long as where the ants are isn't below freezing. If it is below freezing then depending in the species it could be bad

Caught a Camponotus Pennsylvanicus queen yesterday. Had to house her in a container because my test tubes are too narrow. Hope she does well in this kinda-unnatural-and-hard-to-observe setup!

Putting the tube in the outworld would be fine (assuming the outworld would be big enough to fit it.) Ant colonies sometimes move several dozen feet to their new location.

I was just looking at a care sheet ant it says that for hibernation it should be 70-80 degrees. Is this correct? No. It is for the summer since Formica does well in heat, but almost all ants, except a select few hibernate at temperatures in the 40s and 50s Fahrenheit because that is what the ground...
