I've caught a brown queen at sidewalk & grass in a college campus, Wheaton, Illinois.
The size is approximately 1.2cm.
I have not still figured out the best way to embed pictures in the forum.
So please bare with me to post them in google photo.

Thank you both of you.
I thought also Formica sp. which I recently caught a winged one, but this time the color looks more brownish and slightly bigger.
I would like to have a confirmation from batspiderfish!!

Thanks

Yup, a species of Formica from the pallidefulva group.
