Hello AntsCanada! Thanks for having me, this is my first post.
I just got my macro lens for my cell phone today, but I've this and other ants for the past month or so. This one is black with a red tinge to some parts, and about 7 mm long. I believe this a species of crematogaster, I found it in a chunk of half rotted wood.
Are these blurry pictures good enough for an ID?

Yeah, thanks for letting me know.
When I add them as attachments, it looks like they load, but then the status shows the triangular exclamation point emoji looking thing. The images are from my iPhone photo library and are a couple hundred KB. What am I doing wrong?
