Is this a queen? EDIT Found another
Found this girl in a park in Winter park Fl. Shes BIG. 1cm! But Im not sure if she is actually a queen. Found her today, May the 29th. She was running around with two solenopsis invitca queens, but her head is pretty big. Thanks for your help!
Im pretty sure this isnt a queen, but for future reference, I caught her the same place as the ant above, same day. She is Approx 6 mm. Maybe a bit bigger.

Re: Is this a queen?
Looks like a major worker to me but I am probably wrong.

Thank you all
Now that I look at the difference between the major and the queen I will definitely not make the mistake twice! The queen is very distinct.

Comp queen wilm be large but I found a small comp queen not to long ago, just remember to look for wing muscles, the queen will have a larger thorax, and b\c of the size of the queen you usely can see the wing scars. Good luck finding ur queen.

Second isn't Pseudomyrmex, it is a flightless wasp. They look very similar.
