Should add that the first image the queen is about 7-8mm long and the second two are about 5-6mm

I'm confused -- are the queens in the second link the same as the queens at the bottom of the first link?

Queen one is dolichoderine, possibly Iridomyrmex. The two queens are formicine, but I can't say much more than that.

Can't take any good photos at the moment as my camera is stuffed so I have to use an iPad instead...

You can scavenge lenses from laser pointers to make macro adapters for phone cameras. I've also heard that water-droplet lenses work pretty well. I have links explaining both of these, in the photography thread, in my signature.
