Camponotus
Camponotus
Hey guys, I'm a bit in a struggle here... Does Camponotus queens needs to have some earth or something to dig and burrow inside the test tube?

Re: Camponotus
Yeah, not necessary. I prefer to have my queens just in a clean tube with no substrate. There is less of a chance to introduce bacteria, you can see the colony better, and it looks nice to me.

consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Thanks, guys!! I'm a bit worried, I never had this species before.. Does it take too long for them to lay eggs after nuptial flights?
