Untidy Queen
I have a Formica queen from this year in a test tube, she looks, unhappy. She hasn't got an actual frowny face but her general demeanour seems not right. Her test tube looks like a dump, there are a few eggs but she's pulled the cotton wool all over the place.
Some advice or explanations would be good.

Re: Untidy Queen
Not gonna lie I peak at my founding queens once a day and they don't seem to mind so you should be more than alright
Re: Untidy Queen
Today I've moved both my queens to a warmer cupboard, Formica still looks pissed off, Lasius looks great, sat on a heap of eggs and possibly smiling.

I'm very new to the whole keeping and rearing ants game, there are a few eggs in the test tube but I don't know if that means she's definitely fertile. I've ordered a few syringes with needles so I can deliver a small spot of honey into the test tube without removing the cotton wool and disturbing the eggs.
