This ant was caught in Miami, Florida at March the 18th.

3
23mm and she seemed to sometimes sting the cotton when i moved the test tube sometimes

(also she has hairs around her gaster in a ring if that helps)

Of course, but just from looking at it it would appear to be this. It's likely, but not definitive.
