Re: Massachusetts Flight Sightings
Would anyone of you guys be willing to sell or trade me an extra fertile queen. I am finding a good amount of winged ants but would really like to get an ant that's already laying eggs so I can get a colony going. Please pm me if your willing to trade or sell me a queen.

Re: Massachusetts Flight Sightings
I have found a lot more Campo queens, all with wings, but most of them broke off their wings. I think it's all the extreme heat that's bringing them out, though I think they fly in the evening or early morning because I did not see them fly. I had field day, so I found one queen hiding in the shade of a crevice in between some bricks. I brought it home. Most others were not able to find shade and I found lots of dead queen ants.
Post any more findings!

Re: Massachusetts Flight Sightings
Hey I found quite a few C.pennslyvanicus males, but no queens. I caught one thinking I found my first queen, but I soon realized my amateur mistake. I was pretty disappointed but figured the females can't be far behind, that or I may be looking in the wrong places...
Re: Massachusetts Flight Sightings
I am still finding dealates walking around or under wood from the medium-sized flight last week. Camponotus are probably not done flying.
