Wow, so youre relatively new? As for me, Ive owned a little milton lame ant farm as a young child, Ive always had an obsession with nature, but im particular, I was fascinated with ants. Ive been reading about them and watching videos on them for quite a while, however only a few months ago I started keeping queens and colonies.

I tried this today but so far it's not working. They have made it to the entrance of the new test tube but they then shortly returned back to the cotton on the old one.Batspiderfish wrote: ↑Sun May 14, 2017 1:56 pmThey might. It's still pretty early in their founding stages -- they could probably even start over. I would set them up with a new test tube, though. You can leave the tubes mouth-to-mouth in an escape-proofed container. Don't force them to move or anything.

If you still have her dont throw her away! She is alive! It is super hard to drown ants. Many species can last for days before dying when fully submerged in water. It may take a few hours, but she would come back to life.CamponotusCommander wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2017 11:18 amI know how concerned you must feel. I just had one of the most heart breaking happen. A large drop of water drained from the cotton and drowned one of my queens. I felt horrible about it.
Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
