Caught this little lady while I was working on my motorcycle. She was just moseying along the pavement next to my bike. Caught at 3pm in Illinois. Just a little less than half a centimeter so just a little less than 5 mm. I was thinking Tetramorium but I'm terrible at IDs so I'll wait for Batspiderfish to chime in.

Could be. I'm terrible at IDs. I normally only keep Camponotus, but when she walks right to you it's like she's asking to be caught.

She's got an acidopore, so probably Nylanderia.

I looked up what the acidopore is, but where is it located exactly? I'll do more research too to see if I can find out :-)
