Hey guys so i just attached my testtube to my formicarium i placed it vertical so that when i water the top the water floats down and the ants can choose the humanti they want. However i noticed the ants sometimes fall or nearly fall when they clim down or up. Is it best to just lay id down flat to prevent them from falling or will they learn? I also added some seeds in random rooms so they can choose where to store them. Any advice is welcome!!

It is best to lay it flat, I don't think there are many harvester ants which can climb acrylic or glass well.

That's what I meant. The water will still give a humidity gradient, but it would be better to keep Messor in a horizontal formicarium.
