They are differently still flying today, found 2 queens in Somerville.

Found 8 today from 3:30-6:00. It was a modest flight, but I probably missed a big chunk of it.

This Spring I caught 5 queens that I have not yet ID'd, but so far they have laid over 20 eggs. It's actually amazing seeing them all clustered together. I'm hoping they will grow fast and I think at the end of May or mid June that they will hatch into many workers to start the colony. Their eggs are quite small, so I think I will not have to wait long.

Camponotus will be flying this week in MA! Keep your eyes peeled to the ground and report your findings.

Hi how is everyone doing I just caught some flying ants today and yesterday can anyone help me because I'm new to ant keeping how do I tell if they are queens and if they are fertile

I tried posting pictures on the forum but keep getting error message "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached." What else can I do I need help determining weather or not I potentially have fertile queens or not but it wont let me post pictures.

No true way to tell if the queens are fertile until she has first workers.
Species that flew so far.
Prenolepis imparis, flew.
Camponotus nearcticus are flying right now.
Last season Lasius umbratus are running around.
I'll send you A PM with more details.
