So in cape town where I live it is gonna be the official start of Autumn in a few days and I was wondering if I should hibernate my black sugar ants over winter?
If I should hibernate them when shall I start and when should I take them out again?
Thanks

if you live in a place that actually has a type of winter then you should hibernate your ants. In general, you start hibernation when you stop seeing ants and other bugs outside and take them out when you start see ants reappear.
Proverbs 6:6-8

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Seeing as South Africa has a temperate climate, I'd go ahead and hibernate them.
