Fog this morning.. gonna warm up to near 70 today. I expect I *might* be able to find something either today or Wednesday.

No luck this weekend - for those in Northern Il, it's supposed to stay in the mid 60s with rain/storms today. Keep an eye out tonight and tomorrow!

No prenolepis imparis - I did find one lasius claviger though day before yesterday. Guess it won't be 'till March in northern Illinois.

Just out of curiosity, how did you determine L. claviger?

I didn't catch anything yesterday and no P. imparis Monday. I did, however, kidnap a Camponotus chromaiodes queen with nanitics. :)

Anthand1, are you located close to West Tn? I've been keeping my eye out with no luck yet of anything. Also, how big are they? And to the other that snagged the Camp Queen, where did u find her? As in her habitat?

TIme is irrelevant for me. ;) She'd been living there.

I found her inside a rotting log after destroying it partially. The wood was very soft and easily destroyed.

I was hoping with the rain today in Kentucky, I would be able to find some queens. Though after walking around for 30 minutes I couldn't even find a worker. I'm figuring it probably cooled off to much from the rain for any to be out.
