Re: Arizona Ant Fans! Post updates in here!
Temperatures are finally rising. I think nuptial flights are going to start soon. Also once I catch the queen what temperature should I keep it at and how should I do it? I can't make a room of my house into an ant room, so I was thinking of using heating cables. Would heating cables work, and can I keep the queen ants in an air conditioned room if I have the heating cables around the test tube? Also once I have the ants in a formicarium can I keep the formicarium in an air conditioned room and have heating cables around it?

When you catch a queen just shine a light using a lamp or something but not too close or direct. Just so it can keep them warm.
Also same with Mowteam, contact me as well is selling pavement ants (tetrimarium SP) or anything thats suited for beginners.

I might be interested, sending you a pm now..AntLove4Ever wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2017 6:22 pmOh lol I thought you meant the Pharoah ants. All my rover ant queens are mysteriously dying off and they haven't been removing their wings so I doubt they are mated. I have 5 Pharoah ant queens available though, would you be interested in those? Would you like to text me, I can send photos to you. It's giving a 404 error. PLus we need measurements for a proper ID.

Thanks. I'll keep it to see if it lays eggs, but if someone finds a pavement ant queen or another beginner ant queen, private message me.

Hey everyone, so I picked up two Forelius Sp ants from AntLove and turns out they are High Noon Ants. Given them a nice dark place in my closet in a test tube. But they seem to be doing awesome with one worker right now and neither queens are killing each other.. so this should be good. Might be ordering a mini founding formicarium for them from TarHeelAnts. They are super super super tiny and I have ZERO clue how our private eye AntLove4Ever found them. Really amazing, here's a video I took:

(Special thanks to AntLove4Ever for giving up this cool colony to me to be my first colony, let's hope they do the best possible.)
