Wow, I just found my first two aletes of the season! A larger red alete, and tiny black alete! What have you guys caught so far? :mrgreen:

I've done some research on the red one, and I think it might be a Florida carpenter ant, or Camponatus tortuganus. But i'm still looking!

even in Michigan we a have lots of camponotus pennsylvannicus and camponotus novaborancus flying

Ive caught a tertramorium caespitum queen a camponotus .pen queen and a formica subscerica queen along with a solenopsis invicta queen I'm not sure if I'm goin to keep or not
