As the title says; when do these D. Bicolor have nuptial flights?
While hiking today, I spotted a colony of these little guys and thought they were really interesting looking ants. I took a couple pictures so I could ID them. I'm pretty sure I got it right, but if someone wants to check out the pics, I'd say they were something like 6-7mm long, and I'm in Northern Nevada.

Re: When do Dorymyrmex Bicolor fly?
I found my pyramid ant queen this March (March 8. 2018) it was bi color too....
My queen died last week... I didn't Take it well....
My best guess, I did not keep her in a comfortable temperature..They are such a cool species of ant... one of my favorite ants to watch in the wild.. I'll let you know if i find another one this season... Just waiting for another VERY rare early rain......
Here is a YOUTUBE video.. This guy saw a fight in early march too... hope this helps..

Re: When do Dorymyrmex Bicolor fly?
First off, sorry about the loss :/ secondlyI live in buckeye, az (desert) and had caught 3 from using my porch light. 1 shed her wings and laid eggs but died. I was so sad... the other 2 didn't shed their wings but one of them laid eggs.
Caught them after rosa remnants on October 3rd 2018. There were a few others but I didn't have enough tubes
Does anyone have info on this species? Or sources I could reference from? Care sheet any chance? Hibernation, etc they are my first queens and I don't want the others to die.
