I have a suitable formicarium and outworld for them but I have seen them outside and plan to catch a queen to put her in a test tube outworld set up but I am a beginner and dont know how hard they are to keep. Any suggestions or help?

Mikey Bustos has tried to raise this species several times and failed, but yes do try!
Proverbs 6:6-8

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
