Aspirator power

I bought a D-cell Aspirator item 2809D from BioQuip.
I very much like the concept, except I would like it to have much more suction than it has.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve its suction?

I could make sooooo many jokes right now but I won't. Depending on the power source (batteries I figure) you could up the voltage a little causing the suction pump to work faster thus increasing the suction. Be warned though too mush and you could burn it out. What's its power source?
