Hi guys, hope you all are doing great.
My Phidole queen has laid her first batch of eggs all over in the test tube, I could clearly see some eggs at one side of the test tube and some on the other side of tube. She is untidy for sure. But today I wanted to have a look at her and how she is doing but I was completely shocked to see only few eggs in the middle of test tube and she was tending them. I could not find any other egg anywhere in test tube. That raised this question in my mind. Do queens eat their own eggs.?
I know this is kinda odd to ask but some animals do eat their babies like snakes, fish etc. No hate.

Yes, but.... only if they are stressed out. leave her alone and dont check on her more than once a week and she should calm down.
Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
