I am from the USA and I am getting an ant queen from a United Kingdom ant company and I heard that you can't ship reproductive ant queens between states, but can you ship them from other countries, really confused about this hoping someone can help!!! :D

That's not true. Find local, don't buy internationally.

Pretty sure it is a thing in the United States where you can't ship them between state lines because of the invasive species thing

I'm not getting exotic ants though, in getting Lasius niger which is native to my area too but less common which is why I wanted to buy instead of catch!

Lasius niger is not native to New York. There may be a species which resembles Lasius niger, but they are not actually the same. Without proper authorization, you would be breaking the law by attempting to import these ants, as written out in the Plant Protection Act, and it would also be breaking the rules of the forum.

We have several species of niger-group Lasius which are easy to mistaken for L. niger.

Is there any way to get info on what ants are native to your state? Because I see that Pheidole tysoni are found in NY but that doesnt mean they're native, and if theres only a queen + workers for sale out of Pennsylvania is that still legal?
2 Tetramorium Immigran Colonies #1 [40-50 workers] #2 [5-7 workers])
1 Lasius Neoniger Queen [waiting to lay after Hibernation]

It doesn't matter if an ant is "native" or not -- transportation over state lines (at all) is illegal.
