Are tetrimorium queens still flying in New York
During June every time it rained I would look for tetrimorium queens the next day and I still haven't seen one... Are they still flying?Note: I live in upper manhattan...

I managed to come across a queen on Sunday July 15th in the Toronto, Ontario area so it's definitely possible. I'm going to have a look myself after work, we had quite a good downpoor yesterday afternoon.

I was just out for a walk during lunch and only had one container with me but there are definitely alates flying today. Managed to capture a queen, likely formica fusca but the container is really hard to get a really good look. Saw quite a few queens that had removed their wings unfortunately I had nothing to put them in. I guess I forgot one of Mikey's rules, always carry snap caps lol.
I'll be going out again this afternoon when I get home, I think today is going to be a good day for ant hunting in the Toronto area so I'm guess parts of New York State will be good as well.

The key to getting Tetramorium is to look between 6-8 a.m.
