Hey I'm excited about my queen campontus Castaneus queen egg finally developing into larva it want be long now 😃😃

It's still gonna be 6-8 weeks. Especially the pupa stage takes ages (about 4 weeks).
But she's on a good way.

My Camponotus castaneus has had some pupa for about 2 weeks I'd say, give or take. I can't wait till they eclose. It my favorite species I have. She is such a beautiful ember color...and that's why her name is Ember XD.

XD I go like all the time. I don't even have all set in my signature....which I do need to update. I also have a cpl Crematogaster queens along with others...i love my hobby lol. Then again, I have always loved mature and especially insects. Dunno why, guess im just a "bug-nerd for life" lol although true "bugs" are different than most think XD. Not all insects are "bugs"

Right now, my Camponotus subbarbatus colony is my favorite. They are almost beat tho by my Crematogaster colony...im about 80% sure they are Crematogaster cerasi. Love those little girls. What about you...what your favorite?

Subbarbatus are fun, pretty small camponotus though xD
