When: 3:30 Pm - September 7
Where: Powell WY high school bus loop on concrete.
Appearance: light brown head and thorax, yellowish brown abdomen.
Behaviour: Completely calm, when I caught her she was breaking off her wings.

Additionally: I would love some info on it. I have no experience with anything but fire and black garden ants.

Can't quite tell but she could be Liometopum occidentale, for a confermation you can look at the brood, L. occidentale are known for raising a large number of nanitics, if yours don't it's likely they're Formica. The workers also have orange thoraxes.

Takes 1 month, their pupae don't have cocoons so if yours does it's probably something else so keep this in mind.
