Queen Ant not laying eggs?!

hi i have captured some messor ant queens and it has been about a month an frome some reason non of them is laying eggs.... :cry: :cry: :cry: can some one p;z help!

Hi.

They are probably stressed or not fertlized. Or possibly, they donĀ“t feel comfortable with their new home.
Try to watch them once a week or every two weeks to reduce the stress.

They may be hibernating, which happens during cold months in temperate regions, but often relates to rainy seasons in tropical or arid regions.

but they are in a warm room and i saw one of them mate before i got her

That doesn't matter they have a built-in hibernation timer, so they will go into winter slumber no matter if it's hot or cold. Also Messor species are VERY sensitive to vibrations, they need a calm place and a month or two without any disturbance.

Are you sure ants in israel hybernate? I'm very disturbed by this question.

Yeah, I'd like to see an update here. She is most likely hibernating or is not fertilised, just like the posts above has mentioned.
