Captured alate queen loses wings.

The queen is from a small nest along with dealate queen, workers and brood. She started tending the brood and then lost her wings. I suspect she may have been inseminated by a wingless male as this is a Technomynrex Jocsus colony and they have intercaste female worker/queens as well as actual queens and winged males. Her gaster has swolen and I think she may have laid a couple of eggs. Any ideas?

Thanks

Her dealate state probably doesn't have anything to do with her mated status. You'll have to wait and find out.
