Can I expect my myrmica queen to lay eggs before or after hibernation?

hi yes you can expect it to lay before hibernation what setup is she in and do you know exactly what species she is

example myrmica rubra

Mine are laying eggs, but there's not a whole lot of room for expectations with ant queens.

you can never be certain but it should do


also some myrmica species are semi-claustural meaning they need a small roaming space and food like meal worms

not sure how ive never kept them its just what i researched ill have to do a youtube video on it

All Myrmica are semi-claustral, except the social parasites, obviously. :)

in which case she should lay eggs. I'm in a similar position but with a lasius niger queen who's pupae are taking ages to eclose my next video is on hold until they do eclose
