Nebraskan Ants
Would anyone know some of the more 'exotic' species of ants that are native to nebraska? If so, please tell me both scientific name and common name maybe?
Re: Nebraskan Ants
Hypoponera opacior is pretty cool looking
Pogonomyrmex occidentalis is a harvester ant really cool species (stings though)
Prenolepis imparis really cool false honey pot ants
Tapinoma sessile, odors house ant another cool sp.
Temnothorax lives in acorns hence the name the acorn ant
These are some really cool sp. but even lasius and tetremorium are really cool. it's mostly perspective. All ants are cool and exotic with their own quirks.
