Hello together,

i´m totally new here.
So i´m 23 years old from bavaria in germany. I got most of my knowledge from the AntsCanada videos.

And here is my queen i catched yesterday - i hope its a queen :D - so maybe you could help me identifying her.

Don't forget your measurements! Unsure about the first one (leaning Plagiolepis until I know how big she is. A couple more and better-lit pictures wouldn't hurt!) The second queen is Tetramorium, most likely T. caespitum.

Hello Batspiderfish.
Thank you very much for identifying the second ant.
The first ant is exactly 1 cm long.
I try to take some more pictures tomorrow.

At that size I guess it can only be Lasius, although I would need even closer pictures to confirm. Kind of early to be seeing alates outside.

This is a Formica social parasite. She will need 6-8 Formica pupae to start a colony.

So what does that mean for me? Sorry for the stupid questions but i´m really new to this. :|
Is Formica pupae another ant species or what exactly?
I found the queen near a really big ant nest. They look similar.

Thank you so much for your help.

So after reading some websites, I guess I have to get some workers from the nest?
