Hi and hope everyone is well
I am new to ant keeping and have one Lasus niger queen with a few eggs in a test tube set up so fingers crossed.
Got into ant keeping after watching many of the fantastic AntsCanada videos on you tube.
Mikey bustos is a legend.

Hello from Central sweden! :D

I agree he is!

Good luck with the queen! But how can you be sure its a Lasius niger if you just got into anting? Have you posted a pic on the ID center?

Hi, I bought a few bits of equipment online and with my purchase I got to choose a free queen ant, I read that Lasus niger is the perfect beginner ant so that's what I chose.

Oh, from where did you buy it!!!?!?!!!? You know that importing ant species is dangerous for the eco system?!?! Luckely Lasius Niger is found in england...

It was from ant kit uk. I would never purchase an ant from another country due to the eco system so that's why I chose Lasus niger and any future ants I would purchase would be ants native to the uk.
