Help in Massachusetts

I'm wondering if there are any antkeepers in Massachusetts, NH or Maine that could help me out.

My kid is super interested in AntsCanada and has tried to collect queens to start a colony. We never get it to work though. I was wondering if there was a local community member that could help us out in our attempts. Admittedly, I've sort of half-assed the previous attempts because I didn't think it would stick. His interest has remained for years so I think this is here to stay. I'd like to get a colony to work if I can.

I'll buy the gear we need to it to work, but I feel like I need local mentorship to help us collect the right thing and get it started.

I don't like selling my colonies, but you can go to the AntsCanada (Queen Ants For sale ) and you can find a suitable price and colony for your child.
