Hello from Singapore

Hello everyone, I'm from Singapore, a (really) hot tropical island in Southeast Asia.

Ever since I was younger, I have always had an interest in the ants wandering around my house, and only this year have I actually seen (and caught) a queen for myself. Since I go to school, and take Chemistry as a subject, I have a neat supply of test tubes which I can house my queens. (I try not to use the test tubes that I have used for lab experiments though for obvious reasons).

So far, I only have one Queen, and she has started to lay eggs. The way I caught her was a funny story. So I was trying to study for my finals, but I ended procrastinating and went outside when the rain just stopped early in the night, so I walked about, saw some alates over at a light source, and bam! A queen. Right off the bat.

I think I have a Nylandier ?? queen too, with eggs now.

And a possible Camponotus. Into 3rd week, no eggs :(

How do you guys get them ID?

Last week caught a Weaver ant queen, very big and very green. But have to let go because I dunno how to handle Weaver ants.

BTW, anyone buying formacariums? Realised that the shipping cost is very ex. So if buying can pool together, shipping cost can be lowered :)
