I'm in Arizona as well. And I caught 13 queens a few nights ago, which I'm fairly sure they are imported fire ants. I haven't been lucky enough to find a harvester flight yet.

Wow nice! I think I might have caught 1 possible fire ant. But i know I have like 20+ Brachymyrmex Patagonicus (Rover Ants). I checked my first 13 last week and only 6 of them laid eggs. Waiting another 2 weeks before I can check the remaining batch. Also have 4 or 5 Monomorium Minimums (Little Black Ants).

I'm hoping I can meet up with people in Arizona after I get some workers for all of them and see if anyone is willing to trade so we all can have different species!

That would be great! I've got 8 of the 13 with brood and works now.

I have seen Dorymyrmex bicolor in Arizona. They are very common.
