Is this a Queen ant ?

I just found this red with white stripes ant looking thing in my backyard (Oklahoma city) not sure if its an ant or a red velvet ant??
also is there anyone here that's from Oklahoma as well ? would love to hunt or chat since i am a noob at the moment and looking for a queen maybe someone could point me the right direction. Thank you :cry:

It's becuase Photobucket doesn't alow 3rd party hosting anymore. Use Imgur and use the direct link (like Photobucket) when you upload.

And don't forget to measure your ant, preferably in mm.

The first picture looks like a bug, but the second picture looks more like a queen. Could you get a clearer view?
