How long should you leave food in test tube?
My Formica queen was dug up and now has larvae. I took advice from the forums and gave her a crushed baby spider on a small piece of wax paper and left it overnight. It looks like she may have sucked up the guts but the body (of the spider) doesn't look like it moved. Should I leave it in there another day to see if she wants more or go ahead and remove it. She hardly ever even notices it as she is always holding and tending her eggs facing the cotton

The queens don't really need food until the first few workers arrive. Feeding them could actually sometimes stress them out.
