Ok so in addition to my test tubes cracking and looking like they will eventually shatter my portals both now have a single crack on one side. I don’t know how this is even happening or if it was there but much smaller when I received it. I will have to watch it and make sure it doesn’t get longer.
I take extremely good care of my AC products and to be honest the AC support didn’t help at all when it came to my test tube issue so I don’t expect it to be different in this case. I paid a lot of money for the gear pack and shipping to Canada. I really hope I don’t continue to have this happen to my outworld or formicarium. I love the AC products but this is definitely concerning to see.
This is the 1st portal
This is my 2nd portal showing cracking in almost the same spot.

Re: Test tube portals are cracking too

Re: Test tube portals are cracking too
With the test tubes maybe but heat cable has not been in contact with the portals. Especially at the top and in the almost same spot.CabboAntsGuy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2020 8:53 amdo you think it has anything to do with the heat cable?

Re: Test tube portals are cracking too
AntsCanada is now looking into the problem and helping me with the issue. The exact cause is still unknown but I would suggest contacting support to notify them if you have had the same issue and providing images or video proof.
Maybe it has to do with our climate and putting the ants and test tubes/portals in colder environments for diapause or even our cleaning process.
It would be good to know to prevent it in the future or prevent others from having the same thing happen.
