What species are these? How large is the colony approximately? How old is the colony?

they are solenopsis sp. i would guess they are around 3-4 thousand strong right now. ive had this colony for right at a year now. they have caught up to and surpassed, by a long shot any others i have.

Soon ill be posting pictures like that I now have 9 solenopsis xyloni queens :shock: Id be shocked if not a single one survived.
Proud owner of 3 beautiful cats, a loving Siberian husky, and a varying amount of ants.

My ant queens still founding a colony:
