a wild ant colony was relocating and I saw lots of male alates. came back later and there they were. being annihilated by the black crazy ants. sprayed and bitten till they were no more.

tho these girls mostly scavenge and are very scared of live preys, a group this big can kill a fly(not pretty big but still cool) I don't know exact species of the ants. here's a vid of them fulfilling there need of protein

I collected some termites that fell down the drawer and put them in a snap cap vial but saved two to give them to my happy black crazy ants. one was crushed and I thought the other one drowned but it was alive! the termite in it's defence spit it's saliva at the ant which did stop the ant to clean herself before attacking termite again. with a little help from her sister she was able to kill it and bring it back home.

the colony went away. i dont know where. i no longer see workers foraging. its been over a week. maybe they shifted to another far location. well i guess now there is only one colony i can feed. there is a pheidoli colony which i identified as p. parva. they are native to india according to antwiki so hovefull im not killing my ecosystem

Are they pheidoli parva??

The major are really cool. I once gave them live termite and the worker ants were not able to kill it and then one major vame and it literally decapitated the termite. It was so cool. Cruel but still cool

They are back!!
