Is this an imported fire ant? Have never seen one before in my area. Ontario, Canada

No Fire Ants in Canada. This is a wingless wasp of some sort.

For sure not a fire ant! I should know for sure I live in Alabama "Home of the RIFA". The mounds down here out number the homes 10 to 1! And MrILoveTheAnts is right they don't go as high as Canada.
