Queen Identity

Hello there!

So I was sent over here for an identification of my queen ant, so they can provide better advise since she has not laid eggs yet and it has been a week. They are also stating that her wings not coming off means she is not fertile, but I know this is a misconception as a queen can have wings and still be fertile. Anyways, I know she is a carpenter ant, just not the specific species. Any help is welcomed!

ID requests require a measurement as well, but looks to be C. pennsylvanicus.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.
