I caught her under some rocks, and I noticed some differences between her and my P. pennsylvanica queens immediately.
1-Her abdomen is bright red
2-She is noticeably larger
3-She stung me
4-Her head is larger and stronger
5-she acts more aggressive
I'll take pics when I check her next week.

I actually think that she's Stigmatomma (dracula ants). I'll continue her journal on the topic Dracula ants in South Dakota?

6-they didn't seem very interested in my fruit flies, and my Ponera colony loves them.
